Regulate your thyroid health naturally

100% natural treatment to balance your thyroid health without chemicals

What are the symptoms that a person with thyroid problems presents?

The thyroid can produce a variety of symptoms when its function is compromised. The symptoms of thyroid disorders can be very varied and, because they are not specific, they can be confused with other disorders. Some of the more common symptoms associated with thyroid problems include:

  1. Unexplained fatigue

  2. Weight gain or loss without an apparent cause

  3. Sensitivity to cold or heat

  4. Dry Skin

  5. Brittle hair and brittle nails

  6. Changes in heart rhythm, such as palpitations or a slow heartbeat

Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) is a disorder in which the thyroid gland does not produce enough of certain crucial hormones. It may not cause noticeable symptoms in the early stages.

  • Brittle nails

  • Cold hands and feet

  • Intolerance to cold and heat

  • Insomnia

  • Low amplitude in theta and delta waves

  • Eating disorders

  • Fibromyalgia

  • This is a secondary problem, it can be the result of problems in the liver / gallbladder (here the thyroid is activated and goes from T4 to T3), estrogen dominance (many times after pregnancy) or even adrenal glands.

  • Antibodies, Hashimoto's, thyroiditis usually after a traumatic event (intervention of stress hormones).

  • Medications: birth control, anti-acids, beta blockers, chemotherapy, cholesterol-lowering drugs.

  • Toxins in the environment, radiation, pesticides, fluoride.

  • Iodine, Iron, Selenium, Zinc, Vit A, B Complex deficiency

Natural treatments offered by Elán Med Center

Natural Thyroid (T3 + T4)

Our Porcine Desiccated  Thyroid is the most natural source of thyroid hormones and contains T3 and T4 hormones. This is why it is more effective compared to the synthetic version that only includes T4. For patients on synthetic treatment, even with suppressed TSH levels, symptoms persist due to low T3 levels, resulting in continued weight gain, daytime fatigue, cold hands, and feet, constipation, and swollen eyelids in the morning, among others. This is why our treatment with T3 helps patients start seeing symptom resolution in a short period of time.

If it is the patient's first time being prescribed thyroid medication, we start with the Starter Kit to gradually accelerate metabolism. In the second month, the Continuation Kit is administered until reaching a dose with no excess symptoms. If the patient is already on synthetic T4 treatment, a gradual transition protocol is necessary for a controlled change. Typically, patients require up to 30% less of the natural dose (which includes T3) compared to synthetic treatment.

What are the advantages of a natural treatment compared to a chemical treatment?

Porcine Desiccated Thyroid is a natural supplement that is sometimes used as an alternative to chemical medications for the treatment of hypothyroidism, which is a disorder in which the thyroid does not produce enough thyroid hormones. Porcine Desiccated Thyroid is produced from the thyroid glands of pigs and contains natural thyroid hormones, including T3 and T4.

Some people may prefer porcine-desiccated thyroid over chemical medications because of the following potential advantages:

Natural Hormone Content: Porcine-desiccated  thyroid contains natural thyroid hormones, which are similar to the thyroid hormones produced by the human body. Some people may feel that this is more "natural" and prefer this option.

Fewer side effects: Some people may experience unwanted side effects with chemical medications, such as headaches, nausea, or night sweats. Porcine-Desiccated  thyroid may have fewer side effects, although this can vary from person to person.

Higher Absorption: Some people may find that porcine-desiccated  thyroid is better absorbed into the body than chemical drugs, which may improve symptoms of hypothyroidism.
